:D This is a painting I did yesterday, inspired by a diseased leaf (link here: [link]). There is little detail, as I was up to 1 am trying to finish (and the scanner ate what few I put in!). I know the contrast with the wings is really bad, but this was just sort of an “on the fly” painting xD

[Edit] :D Xellas gets the cookies for her wonderful help with naming!!! Now she just has to get herself up to Canada so I can give them to her :p

i like the details on all the leaves. must have been a ton of work. the wings - the decaying leaves are rendered beautifully. i had a touch of trouble finding the fairy, wasn't sure if that was intentional or not. i have a feeling that it was your scanner eating up some of the more refined details ^_________^ but very lovely!

Oh beautiful. I love this soft and graceful water coloring feel. (Though it's acrylic ^_^ ) This coloring effectively gives ethereal feel on the fairy. Wonderful job Jenna :hug: instant fav:heart:

lol actually the contrast is what I horribly hate about this picture, and yes the scanner didn't make it any better (;o; all the work I put into dress texture is GONE!) :) Thanks for the comments! If I ever rework this a bit, I will definitely bring her out a bit.

lol yeah, I just had to pick it up and do something with it (though it was originally destined to be my mom's art project) It's hard to believe that I leaf can look like that o_O

:) :hug: Thanks so much Eugene, I'm glad you enjoy. xD Actually, the concept of how I did leaves in the bg was based on a watercolour I did along time ago. I was worried that it would bring to much realism into the picture (there's not much magic!) but I guess not. :)
